Re: Recorded this date
[edit]I would like to ask: How verifiable are those entries in "Recorded this date" ? How notable ? Why does August 18 have such a section ?
-- PFHLai 20:17, 2004 Aug 19 (UTC)
I deleted them as questionable. I had thought the poster who was putting these on each of the date pages had stopped. RickK 21:00, Aug 19, 2004 (UTC)
Mistake?
[edit]In deaths section last line states "2005 - Mohamed Khan, Indian Filmmaker (b. 1930)", but as currently it is august 11 2005, that is some kind of prediction (someone knows that person will be dead after one week) or just a strange joke? Knutux 10:16, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Anyone read Cyrillic?

Ancient?
[edit]1541 – A Portuguese ship drifts ashore in the ancient Japanese province of Higo (modern day Kumamoto Prefecture). (Traditional Japanese date: July 27, 1541)
Is a location where something happens in 1541 considered ancient? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.72.186.112 (talk) 13:01, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
1991 Soviet coup attempt
[edit]The claim that the date is incorrect is erroneous, as evidenced by this part of the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Soviet_coup_attempt#Commencement 176.102.71.103 (talk) 15:17, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
