I know it's quite late but can we change the color of maps for prefectures? It looks rather dim to me. Maybe you can put some versions as sample then we can go to vote. -- Taku 02:46 Apr 24, 2003 (UTC)

I picked the colors from the Chinese prefectures project and thought they were appropriate enough. I haven't checked them on other platforms like Windows or Mac. but the only thing I can think of is to make the beige lighter and darken the brown a bit to have more contrast. If you want to get your hands on it you can download the original XCF I based the PNGs on. --synthetik 02:56 Apr 24, 2003 (UTC)
