- Richmond County, Nova Scotia → Richmond, Nova Scotia – The name should reflect the single name like Halifax, Nova Scotia,Queens, Nova Scotia,Argyle, Nova Scotia,West Hants, Nova Scotia,St. Mary's, Nova Scotia,Guysborough, Nova Scotia,East Hants, Nova Scotia and Clare, Nova Scotia. - Oppose. Editor is missing the point here. This is a county while the places editor listed are community articles. Do we really need to start renaming all these articles just because the editor who proposed the changes is trying to make a point. Editor listed Guysborough, Nova Scotia as a single name article without bothering to mention that there is also a Guysborough County, Nova Scotia article. I guess he missed that one. - Oppose A county is not a community, it is a group of communities; COMMONNAME is "Richmond County", not "Richmond". re the Guysborough example, I happened to look up Annapolis, Nova Scotia re Annapolis County, Nova Scotia and it turns out that's a dab page; but as so often with dabs, people confusing proper dabs with items where a second word makes it "not a dab", i.e. Annapolis is not a COMMONNAME for Annapolis County, or even the Annapolis Valley ("the Annapolis" maybe for that, in common speech) and Annapolis Royal is more likely to be thought of. Equating county names with community/town/municipality names does not apply anywhere in the world.Skookum1 (talk) 05:45, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
