My mention of a study showing positive experiences of hospice financial counselors was from http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12406051&dopt=Abstract
Removal of investment analogy
[edit]I've removed the paragraph in the lead that likened a viatical settlement to a zero-coupon bond. Not only was this paragraph unrelated to anything in the body of the article, it was also of dubious merit (it's a bit of a stretch to categorize a life-insurance policy as a "bond"). Also, the referenced source was a blog run by a company that engages in the viatical business. NewYorkActuary (talk) 20:48, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
This needs to be consolidated to life settlements
[edit]Today, viatical settlement is an archaic phrase. Everyone uses life settlement — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jhickey94 (talk • contribs) 16:45, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
