[edit]I can't find any more information regarding the result of this lawsuit. Considering it was filed in 1997, it's probably settled by now. Does anyone know anything more? --Ricky81682 03:25, Nov 1, 2004 (UTC)
I, too, couldn't find much more than mentions on someone's blog (with a link to Rolling Stones that is now dead). But I did find an article where they also sued Kid Rock for his Cowboy song. Kid Rock accused of biting 80s synth tune for cowboy. There is no follow up to see what happened with the lawsuit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.200.236.200 (talk) 16:30, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- I believe this entire reference to be joke vandalism. The only references to it I can find are recent and seem to refer to this wikipedia entry. Further, the Paula Cole song does not include the line "I want to be a cowboy" even once, much less multiple times with the same intonation. Finally, the claim is entirely unsourced. Yes, we could add a source from a recent article, but this would be xkcd recursiveness. I nominate this claim for deletion. 69.1.1.163 (talk) 02:31, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
