[edit]Paschal cycle is equally relevant to the western liturgical year: therefore, this article should be ammended to show that. This article should also be moved to Paschal cycle to accord with Wikipedia:Naming conventions. Gareth Hughes 23:17, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I oppose moving this page. The Eastern Orthodox Paschal Cycle is sufficiently complex and sufficently diverse from the Roman Catholic that it deserves to be treated as a seperate article. To avoid the confusion, I would suggest this page the renamed "Pentecostarion." MishaPan 00:42, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- "Pentecostarion" would be incorrect since it refers only to the services from Pascha through Pentecost to All Saints. The entire Paschal Cycle refers to all the observations dependent on the date of Pascha. It therefore starts at Zacchaeus Sunday. If it's to be renamed "Triodion" would be better since the Pentecostarion, aka "the Flowery Triodion", is technically volume 2 of the whole Triodion, the Lenten Triodion being volume 1. But I think it's fine where it is. TCC (talk) (contribs) 02:27, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
