War crime

[edit]

Why isn't there a single mention of a war crime in any passage? 37.191.205.220 (talk) 06:54, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Strategic bombing of civilian targets was not declared a war crime until 1977, however, some mention may be included. I believe that perhaps Curtis Lemay's acknowledgment that he would have been prosecuted for war crimes if he was on the losing side because of the firebombing (see [[1]]) should at least be considered for mention. However, it is important that a neutral point of view must be maintained, so it cannot be outright classified as a war crime or spoken of definitively as a war crime without broad consensus. Casualties

[edit]

Would a casualty and fatality rate be useful for the reader? FrogOnGrog (talk) 05:03, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
