Successor should be of Prophet Muhammad (saw). Kindly update the incorrect information, the references could be sahi Bukhari, chapter of last Hajj of Prophet whom on return to home after Hajj, did stop everyone in place known then as Ghadeer e Khum.

He waited there 3 Days so everyone went ahead could come back and those left behind could reach up. Then made a pulpit of saddles of camel and horses, then stood upon it and said 'man kunto maula fa haza aliyun maula' which means whomsoevers' master/leader I am, Ali(a.s.) is their master/leader too. Hazrat Ali رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ was not shia Or any other sect. He just followed religion of islam (Quran and sunnah) as taught by Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ). Rayees Ah. F (talk) 16:39, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
